Janice Evans, a longtime resident of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away on April 27th, 2026 in Klamath Falls, Or. She was 64 years old.
Janice was born on June 17th, 1961, to Robert and Florene Matthews. She attended schools in Dorris, California and later lived in Nebraska for many years while raising her family before returning to the Pacific Northwest.
A woman who truly appreciated the beauty of the world around her, Janice was happiest when she was outdoors. Whether she was fishing, camping or tending to her garden, she found peace in nature. Over the years, her home was filled with the many beautiful plants she nurtured with care. Above all else, Janice was a devoted mother, and grandmother; her children and grandchildren were the heart of her world.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Florene Matthews; her son, Travis and her siblings, Robert (Joel), Tammy, and Jerry.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Pitts, her children, Neali and Robbie, and her beloved grandchildren, Cole Travis, Wyatt, Kai, Jake, Noah, and CoraLee.
A service to honor Janice's life will be held at 10:00 am, on May 9th, 2026 at the Shasta View Church in Dorris. Ca, with Pastor Marshal Nilsson officiating.
Interment will be held at the Picard Cemetery in Dorris, Ca directly after the service, as well as a potluck. All are invited to attend.
