Anne Marie (Otter) Woods of Klamath Falls, OR, passed away November 12, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born to Christian and Helen Otter, July 12, 1939, in Roseville, California. Anne graduated from Roseville Joint Union High School in 1957 and attended American River College in Sacramento for the next 2 years where she attained her Associate of Arts degree. While living in the Sacramento area she began working for the California Bureau of Investigation which she enjoyed very much. In 1958 she met her future husband, George H. “Bud” Woods Sr., as he was returning from a pistol shoot in southern California with his Fort Lewis armed forces marksmanship team. They were married on May 1, 1960 in Roseville, California and enjoyed raising their 3 children, Christianne, Joseph and George Jr. while moving throughout the western United States.
Anne was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed many activities such as hunting, fishing and camping with Bud, their kids and many of their lifelong friends and extended family. She played the piano and clarinet and loved gardening both flowers and vegetables but her most favorite hobbies were her quilting and painting. Many of her quiltings and oils still exist in the homes of her children as cherished heirlooms. Anne held in the highest regard, along with her family, her faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Her faith remained fervent and true, never wavering as she passed into his loving arms for her salvation and everlasting life.
Anne held various jobs and volunteered in many positions for her community's churches and schools. During her and Bud's retirement years they spent most of their time traveling in their RV between game refuges in the west, volunteering with most of them and performing duties and activities requested that would promote and aid in the success and viability of the organizations. They loved the outdoors and wildlife and wanted to give back as much as they could.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Helen Otter, her loving husband George (Bud) Woods, her brother John Otter, her half-brother Christian Otter and her eldest son Joseph E. Woods. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Christianne Marie Pellissier (husband John) , her loving son George H. Woods (wife Kimberly, son Jacob Alexander), grandsons Raimey Schaan and Brandon Heikola nieces Diane Otter-Ramos, Paula Woods, Robin Woods, Marilee Woods, Crystal James, Coral Woods, nephews David Otter, Jim Otter, Mark Woods, Bruce Woods, their spouses and children, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
A celebration of life and memorial will be held later in the spring in Lakeview, OR, date and time to be determined. Anne will be laid to rest next to her husband George at the Likely, CA Cemetery with immediate family present only.
