Bert James Gray died peacefully in the arms of his wife and daughter on July 7, 2022, at their home in Keno, Oregon, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bert was born on March 29, 1965, in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Donald James Gray and Wilma Gray (Rieck), and raised in Keno, Oregon. Bert graduated from Henley High School in 1983 and went on to be a student athlete at College of the Siskiyou's, where he earned his Associates of Business. Bert recently retired from JELD_WEN Components after 33 years. In 1990, Bert was happily married to Rosemary Gray (Diaz), who was his partner in life for almost 32 years at the time of his death.
Bert is survived by his wife, Rosemary Gray (Diaz); daughter, Maria Gray, son; Dalton Gray, daughter-in-law; Isabelle Gray (Taylor); and granddaughter on the way.
Besides spending time with his family, Bert had a passion for his car collection, running, mountain biking, coaching cross country and track and field, and caring for his dogs, Harlow, Atticus, and Bella. Bert was hardworking, compassionate, amusing, and selflessly devoted to his family, friends, and athletes. He touched many lives with is his generosity and passion for life.
Family, friends, and anyone who loved Bert, are invited to attend the Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, July 23, 2022m from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at his home, located at 11635 White Goose Drive in Keno, Oregon. The Celebration of Life is open to the public and a meal will be provided. For an estimated head count, please RSVP by text or phone to Rosemary at (541) 891-2367.
