Carol Owen Obituary

Carol Ann Owen (Porter), 79 years old, passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2026, in Klamath Falls, OR.

Born in Klamath Falls on April 1st, 1946, she grew up there and attended Klamath Union High School. She later attended the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and Clark College and eventually became a paralegal, working in Vancouver, WA. One of her passionate hobbies was card making, which brought her immense joy. She enjoyed traveling extensively, often accompanied by her faithful dogs and her husband, Charlie. A highlight of their lives was the time they spent living in Costa Rica.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Charlie Owen (our pop), and her two sons, Danny, and Anthony (Tony), along with their wives, Maria, and Melody. She cherished her grandchildren, including Katrina Von, Kyle and Taylor Morrison, and Hunter Whitlatch. She is also survived by her sisters Rhonda Andrewson (Don), Lorene Perez (Sergio), Lani Modesto (Lawrence), and her brother Brett Robin (Angie).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Donald Porter, whom she loved deeply and who loved and guided her in return, as well as her brother Dana Robinson and sister Renee Hosley.

Known affectionately as “Fancy Grandma,” she embarks on her next journey, leaving behind a legacy of love and the example of showing up when facing life’s challenges.

Her family is grateful for her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Elaine Lahoda, who embodied grace, patience, and love during Carol’s final days.

A Special Thank You to Bristol Hospice for providing excellent care.

A well-lived journey. Godspeed.
