Dale Marie Ross

Dale Marie Ross, known to her loved ones as Marie, passed away at her home in Dorris, CA, on October 10, 2024, at the age of 71. Marie’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband, David Lynn Ross, and her son, Dennis Franklin Brugman II, both of whom she missed dearly.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Tammera Marie Shinar, and her son-in-law, James Shinar II, of Chico, CA. Her greatest joys in life were her five grandchildren: Kyia L-M Sunderland of Albuquerque, NM; James P. Shinar III of Chico, CA; Nicolas A. Brugman of Red Bluff, CA; Kaylee M. Brugman of Klamath Falls, OR; and River J. Brugman of Dorris, CA. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Marie also leaves behind four surviving siblings who will miss her dearly.

Marie had a passion for crafting, gardening, and collecting anything adorned with cows, which she loved very much. She found happiness in the simple things, from creating beautiful handmade crafts to watching NASCAR, where she cheered her heart out for her favorite driver, Tony Stewart.

Though her family and friends feel an immense loss, they take solace in knowing that she is now at peace. Marie will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her, but her legacy will live on in the memories of those she leaves behind.
