David Sheridan Spencer, 81, of Klamath Falls, Oregon moved to heaven on November 30, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1943 in Eugene, Oregon. When he was four years old, he moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon with his parents George and Marian Spencer.
He graduated from Klamath Union High School. He also, at this time, worked at Big Y Market, stocking shelves. He worked at Columbia Plywood for 40 years, retiring in 2002.
David was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 15 years old. The disease gave him many health complications which he overcame with a strong will to live and always with a good attitude.
David enjoyed camping, gardening, and traveling to Hawaii. He loved being in the sunshine. David never met a stranger, always having a kind word to say about everyone.
His hobbies were woodworking, making adirondack chairs and other furniture pieces, but his favorite was his HO model train layouts.
David enjoyed attending church at Disciple Church in Klamath Falls. He missed going the last couple months of his life.
David met Debbie on October 3, 1976 at Moore Park. They married on November 27, 1976.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie Spencer, daughter Sheri Spencer, and granddaughter, Brittnie Spencer.
A gathering of family and friends will be held to honor him in the Spring of 2025.
