Debra Theresa (Jones) Anastasi, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Monday, July 11th, 2022 at the age of 65 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Debbie was born January 31st, 1957 in The Dalles, Oregon to Joetta Faye Hiatt and Richard Lee Jones. Later she lived overseas with her mother, sister Darcee, and her stepfather Steve who was stationed there at the time. She spent much of her high school years abroad in Iran, Turkey and the Philippines and returned to The Dalles where she graduated in 1975. She cherished her time spent overseas and shared many stories of her time there, Italy being one of her favorite places she visited.
It 1979 she met Duane Anastasi in Iowa. They were married June 21, 1981 in Alameda, California where they lived for many years before settling in Klamath Falls in 1898. together they were blessed with four children, Jason, Jillian, Janelle and Jared. she held various jobs over the years. Her last as a bus driver for Klamath County School District where she enjoyed working for several years. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially going on family trips to the coast and camping at her favorite place, Union Creek.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Duane Anastasi; son Jason Anastasi and fiance' Sarah Palmer, daughter Jillian Gomez and husband Christopher, daughter Janelle Anastasi, and son Jared Anastasi; grandchildren Tyler Garrison, Jenna Anastasi and Connor Gomez; sister Darcee Bowers and her husband Steve, sister Dawn Arthur, brothers Darren and Darrick Jones; Uncle Dough Dryden; and her best friend of 51 years, Jeanne Bleecker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joetta and Richard, her aunt, Valda Dryden and uncle, Todd Jones. She will be forever loved and missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30th at 12 p.m. at Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, Oregon.
