Diana (Di-Anna) Depew Obituary

Diana May Depew (affectionately known as Di-Anna) passed away on October 31, 2025, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at the age of 80. She was born on May 29, 1945, in Mussoorie, India—a scenic hill station nestled in the Himalayan foothills. As a British citizen, her early years were shaped by her father’s service in the British military, which took the family from India to England, then Gibraltar, and back again.

In the mid-1960s, Di-Anna moved to Ontario, Canada, to support her brother John and help care for her niece and nephew. In November 1966, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she began a career as a nanny and housekeeper for several prominent families, including the Hoods of Hyatt Hotels, “My Side of the Mountain” film producer Robert Radnitz, and international numismatist and coin dealer David Bowers. Her warmth, dedication, and grace left lasting impressions on those she served.

In June of 1967, Di-Anna met Richard Depew at the Mucky Duck Pub in Santa Monica. The two married on October 5, 1971, in Hawaii. In 1979, they welcomed their son Nicholas, followed by their daughter, Allison, in 1982. During their children’s early school years, Di-Anna worked intermittently as a teacher’s aide, always prioritizing her role as a nurturing and present mother.

In 1991, following the passing of Richard’s father, the family moved from Los Angeles to Richard’s hometown of Klamath Falls, Oregon, where Di-Anna continued her devotion to family and deepened her involvement in local church communities.

Faith was the cornerstone of Di-Anna’s life. She served joyfully in her churches—caring for children, singing on worship teams, and dancing with banner and praise troupes. Her spiritual journey led her across the globe on mission trips to China, Ethiopia, India, Italy, Haiti, Mexico, Morocco, Chile, and Peru, where she shared her compassion and light with communities near and far.

Di-Anna was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vera Webb; her siblings John, Kenny, Edward, Michael Webb, and Mary Bunton. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Depew; her children, Nicholas Depew and Allison Leon; her son-in-law, Ray Leon; her grandchildren, Alex and Sophia Leon; her brother, Peter Webb; and a wide circle of cherished friends and extended family.
Di-Anna will be remembered for her unwavering faith and generous heart. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 1:00 pm at For His Glory Ministries located at 707 High Street, Klamath Falls, OR. A reception will immediately follow. All are welcome.
