Donald White Obituary

Donald Carl White, also known affectionately as Donnie, Don, or Chuck, was born on the Fourth of July, 1950. At the age of 74, Donnie was received into Heaven by Jesus and his loved ones. He passed away on the night of July 18th, 2024, in the company of his brother Bob and his wife Diane.

As a previous owner of the Country Villa convenience store on Homedale, Donnie was well-known and respected by many. Donnie was an avid golfer with a long-standing membership at Harbor Links Golf Course. His passion for craftsmanship was evident in his woodworking, particularly in his intricate boxes with inlay work, hand carvings, and lathe work . Donnie also expressed his creativity through watercolor painting, producing many beautiful drawings and paintings throughout his life. His deep love for music and art was profound, resonating through his lifestyle and as a joy he shared with others.

Donnie's generous nature and friendly demeanor made him beloved by many. Raised in Merrill and having lived nearly his entire life in the Klamath Basin, he nurtured close and lasting friendships, which remained strong throughout his life. His commitment to his family and friends was unwavering, and his presence enriched the lives of those around him.  He was a devoted son, a loving father, caring brother, and he thoroughly enjoyed his years as a grandpa.

In Donnie’s final year he was fortunate and appreciative to have the most considerate and caring home support, from both providers and community members. Donnie relished his independence, and was grateful for the company and kindness of those who helped him maintain it.

Donnie is survived by his brother, Bob White and his wife Diane; his friend and former spouse, Elizabeth Buhrle and her husband Roger; his daughter, Rachel Perry and her husband David; his adored grandchildren, Jacob Buhrle and his wife Jasmine, Zachary Buhrle, Chase Perry, and Emaline Perry; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Wesley Buhrle, Lillianna Buhrle, and Daniel Buhrle. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest (Webb) White; mother, Margaret (Toots) White-Millet; and his daughter, Miranda White.

At Donnie’s request there will be no funeral service. Donnie's life will be celebrated and remembered for the joy, creativity, and love he brought into the world. His legacy will continue to live on through his family, his art, and the memories cherished by all who knew him.
