Duane T. Hart, age 92 passed away on August 10, 2024 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Born August 6, 1932, in Hillsburg, California to David Edward and Mary Virginia Hart. Duane was one of twelve siblings, instilling in him a profound appreciation for family from an early age.
Following his graduation, Duane honorably served in the Army from 1949 to 1953, including deployment during the Korean War. His military tenure instilled in him a discipline and resilience that he carried throughout his life.
After his service, Duane returned to civilian life and embarked on a career as a milkman, later transitioning to a contractor. His work ethic and dedication to his craft earned his respect to his community and among his peers.
Duane married Darlene Young Wasil and together they shared 23 joyful years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Duane leaves behind his loving wife, Darlene and his daughter Deborah, and many grand and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, who will miss him deeply.
He was a die hard San Francisco 49ers fan, Duane never missed a game, embodying his passion for football. His hobbies also included traveling, horse racing, westerns on the television, and he loved Trump. He loved Christmas, because he enjoyed dressing up as Santa. He cherished time with his expansive family, ensuring he was present in the lives of his loved ones.
Duane was preceded in death by his childen Kimberly Felix, Duane Jr. Hart, and Miles Hart. His son-in-law Art Duran. As well as his great grandson James Duran.
His legacy continues through his surviving family members, his daughter Deborah Duran (Klamath Falls), his grandchildren Tony (Tiffany) Duran, Ashley, Robert, Jennifer, Rachel, Cordell, Ryelee, Bryson Duran (all Klamath Falls). Zachary Duran (Stationed in Hawaii) Tina Mann, Bobbie Duran (Salem), Jessica, Micheal Hart, Alissa McKinnon (California), Breana (Ronland), Colbert (Maryland), Cami (Gavin) Estes (Florida). As well as numerous great grandchildren. Brody, Bentley, Aiden, Paisley Duran, Kirsten (Jose) Side, Mathew Mann, Luke (Jennie) Mann, Samantha (Andrew) Uribes, Tiffany Roberts, Sean Duran, Neveah, Colton, Christian, Stephany Breckenridge. Great Great grandchildren include Ace, Alaska Duran, Kennedy, Isaiah Uribes, Nora, Max, Mann, Clementine Dehart.
Services to honor and celebrate Duane's life will be held at Daveport's Chapel, located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at 2680 Memorial Drive. A viewing is scheduled for August 28, 2024 at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral service with honors 11:00 am, and internment at 12:00 am.
Duane's life was marked by his commitment to his family, his country, and his community. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
