Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Lucht, 82, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025 in Klamath Falls. She was born in Klamath Falls to Charles and Hazel Nehl on November 3, 1942.
Betty graduated from KUHS in 1960 and then graduated from a local business college. With that training she worked in a few offices including the Klamath County DA’s office and retired from Oregon Institute of Technology.
Betty and Henry were married in November 1967, and enjoyed over 54 years of marriage until Henry’s death February 21, 2022.
Betty and Henry were life members of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Posse and members of Search & Rescue. Betty also volunteered and was on many boards including 911 and a local credit union and spent years on the DUII task force. Betty and Henry were very involved in their church St Pius X and made many beloved friends there. Betty made a large impact on our community and will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Lucht, and her brother Theodore Chapman.
She is survived by her daughter Terry Erickson, grandchildren Breana and Ruger, son Ted Lucht and wife Janice (Springfield, OR), sister Marjie Trigg-Warner, nephew Keith Lucht, wife Tammy and their daughters Hannah and Lisa, nephew Gene Lucht, and many other nephews, nieces, and cousins.
