Fairy Pauline “Carole” (Bentley) Nugent, born on September 28, 1941, in Mulberry Grove, Illinois. She lived in Chiloquin, Oregon for several years and passed on to her eternal home on October 24, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of John Robert Bentley and Edna Pearl (Earnest) Bentley.
Carole was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Bentley, her mother Edna Pearl (Earnest) Bentley; two sisters, Martha Pearl (Bentley) Bracken, and Velma Ruth (Bentley) Ezell; five brothers, Lester Robert Bentley, John Robert Bentley Jr., Wayne Eugene Bentley, David Lee Bentley, and Larry Paul Bentley; and one daughter, Tammy Lea (Nugent) Davis.
Carole is survived by her daughters: Jill Eileen (Nugent) Hamilton of Eagle Point, Oregon, and Mary Ann (Nugent) Lightner of Eagle Point, Oregon. Her grandsons Jeffery Greening Jr. of Nevada, and Kenneth Young of Idaho. Her granddaughter, Brandy Davis of Illinois. Carole leaves behind one brother, Ivan Bentley, of Cottage Grove, Oregon. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews throughout the country.
She married Donald Owen Nugent on February 19, 1960, and later divorced him in 1965.
Carole was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist church. She loved to read and study the Bible and helped members of the communities that she lived in.
Although Carole’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
The family will host a memorial service on May 18, 2025, at the Medford Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 1900 Greenwood St, Medford, OR at 2:00 pm
