Glen Roy Haddock, age 90, a resident of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and sons on February 11, 2025 at Rogue River Place in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; he lived a full and joyful life. He always approached life with a calm outlook, a good sense of humor, and ability to bring joy in any situation.
Glen was born on July 13, 1934, in Seneca, Newton County, Missouri to Hugh and Orpha (Vaughan) Haddock, school teachers in the area. In the following years the family moved to Southern Oregon following the jobs available in the lumber industry available there.
Glen graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1953. Joining the United States Navy on graduation. He trained as a Construction Mechanic (Heavy Construction), colloquially known as the Seabees, serving in the later stages of the Korean Conflict in the Philippines and at Midway Island. He was Honorably Discharged on 29 May 1957.
He married the love of his life Verla June Jones on July 6, 1957, and they built a beautiful life together for the next 67 years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Glen worked at Crater Lake Machinery, later Pape Cat, until his retirement. He has a passion for outdoor activities that included hunting, fishing, exploring the many natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest, and photography. He was also an avid sports fan not only supporting his favorite teams the San Francisco Giants and Forty Niners, but also supporting local Little League by being a coach, umpire, and maintenance of the local league fields. Glen was also an active member of his church, Baptist Church on Homedale.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Orpha Haddock, his three brothers Gerald Hugh, Harold Austin (sister in law Ara), and David Lee, and his daughter Cheryl Marie.
Glen is survived by his loving wife Verla, his sons Robert and Michael, of Klamath Falls, his Grandsons Geoff Sigmund and wife Genevieve of San Clemente, CA, Robert Sigmund of Redmond, Oregon, Joshua Haddock and wife Breanna of Klamath Falls, four great-grandchildren London, and Harlan Sigmund of San Clemente, CA, Ruby and Brody Haddock of Klamath Falls, OR.
