June Gore passed away peacefully on January 31st at Sky Lakes Medical Center after a brief illness. June bravely battled Retinitis Pigmentosa, which is a degenerative eye disease, as well as hearing loss, with fortitude, good humor, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She attended the Helen Keller institute in New York and was able to learn braille as well as how to utilize a service dog to assist in getting around. Her former guide dog India is pictured with her in the photograph. June lived in Klamath Falls for over thirty years and has previously lived in Tacoma, Washington and Lincoln, Nebraska. June is survived by her son Lou Siefker of Norfolk, Nebraska, daughter-in-law Kim Siefker, grandchildren Kyle Siefker and Allison Siefker, and great grandchild Leah Byerly. June was also an animal lover and leaves behind her beloved cat Bambi.
