Lauralie Nell (Burton) Barrett

Lauralie Nell (Burton) Barrett who grew up in and lived in Klamath County, Oregon, died December 11, 2025, at home, at age 100.

Lauralie was born December 8, 1925, in Klamath County, to her parents Laura (Nelson) Burton and Clayton Burton.  She was the fourth child, with two brothers, Edmond and Alfred Burton, and one sister, Rosalie Collins, all of which have passed.

Lauralie attended school in Keno.  She married Marvin Elwood Barrett, June 19, 1943, at Round Lake Ranch, when he was on furlow during WWII.

Lauralie was a stay at home mom, raising three boys Darrell, Jerry and Dale. Darrell has passed, Jerry lives in Klamath County, and Dale lives in Seaside, Oregon.

Lauralie, was a person with many developed skills including, silversmithing, making rock jewelry, painting and sewing.  She and Marvin started the local Rock and Arrowhead Club in 1963, and in 1965 they opened Lauralie's Rock Shop.

In addition to Marvin, her husband of 65 years, and her sons Darrell, Jerry and Dale, Lauralie is survived by Darrell's sons Neill; and Andrew (who has three boys); Jerry's children Krista/Farnham (who has two boys); and Clint (who has two boys); and Dale's children, Russell (who has one boy); and Carrie/Rose (who has one girl).

There will be a viewing Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 am for Lauralie at Davenport's Chapel.  A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm, and interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Klamath Memorial Park.
