Lola Delphene Hawkins Spicher passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born a full century ago, on September 22, 1924, in Hillyard, WA, a suburb of Spokane. She was raised by her maternal grandparents (Margaret and Charles Murray) until joining her family in Klamath Falls at the age of 14. She married Dick Spicher in 1941(divorced in 1961) and raised their 2 children as well as several nieces and nephews in the home she would continue to live in for 81 years.
She was preceded in death by her children, Dickie Martin and Don Spicher; and siblings Eugene Hawkins, LeRoy Hawkins, Nina Eades, and Andrew Bergloff. She is survived by her brother Wayne Bergloff; grandchildren, DeDe Spicher, Rick Spicher, and Jason Martin; and great-granddaughters Kayden Spicher and Bella Martin.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Klamath Falls on Friday, October 4th, at 9:00am with internment to follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
