Lyle Young passed away peacefully in his sleep on 8/25/22. He was 93 years old. Lyle grew up in Bradford, Vermont, the second of six children. After graduating from high school he joined the US Air Force and had 26 years of active service. In 1958 Lyle married Karen Killinger and they had three children. In 1971 Lyle was transferred to Kingsley Field where he retired from the Air Force in 1974. After the Air Force Lyle became an appraiser. He also purchased property in Henley on Lost River, built a home, raised his children, and became a gentleman farmer until his passing. Lyle enjoyed officiating softball and basketball games for most of his life. Lyle enjoyed playing cards (especially cribbage), camping, fishing, golf, and following the latest news. He was always there for his family and will be missed.
Lyle is survived by his wife Karen of 63 years, his daughter Barbara and her husband Rich, his son Keith and his wife Leigh, his son Ken and his wife Heily, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Lyle will be interned at the Veterans Columbarium at Klamath Memorial Park.
