Michael Lorren Sears, 65, of Orange, California, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2023, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was born on January 30, 1958. Michael also known as Mike, old man Mike, was a beloved son, husband father and grandfather.
Mike was an amazing person who touched the lives of many. Mike had a kind and caring nature to him, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was always full of fun and laughs. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and creating beautiful memories with them. Family dinners, camping trips, holidays, car shows, and working with his hands were some of his favorite activities.
In his early years, Mike lived in Orange, CA., with his parents and siblings, Pam Alexander, Debbie Barnard, and Rich Sears. He attended and graduated from Villa Park High School in 1976. Mike did many sports and activities throughout his high school career. Mike received an award for the most valuable specialty team player for Football. Following his education, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. and served 2 years, before switching branches to the National Guard, where he dedicated the next 22 years to serving his country with honor and dedication. His military association was an integral part of his life.
Mike moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon shortly after high school to pursue his life dreams. He met and married Nancy Sears and had 3 wonderful children Joey Sears, Ashley Pena, and Jeffrey Sears. Mike was a father figure to Robert Sears. Mike did remarry later in life to the wonderful Carla and gained 4 lovely stepchildren: Matt, Shawna, Kylah and Jaurdyn.
Professionally, Mike was an exceptional car painter for many years. He also worked for the Klamath County school district. His talent and passion for his craft were evident in every project completed. Outside of his career, Mike had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed working in the yard, creating things out of nothing, hunting, fishing, and spending any time that he could with family.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Carla Sears, mom, Jean, his children: Joey, Ashley, Jeffrey, and Robert, his stepchildren: Matt, Shawna, Kylah, Jaurdyn, 19 grandchildren, with one that will soon make his arrival, and his best friend Zane Harris. He was preceded in death by his father Lorren Sears, stepfather, Monty Anderson, and brother-in-law, Alan Barnard.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, love and genuine nature will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
