Paula Sue Walborn went on to glory in Jesus Christ on October 7, 2024, at the age of 73 in Medford, Oregon, surrounded by her family. Born on September 30, 1951, in San Gabriel, CA, Paula was known for her love of Jesus Christ, her loving, caring nature, her devotion to her family, and her creative spirit.
Throughout her life, Paula expressed her creativity through painting, establishing herself as a respected artist and teacher within her community. Her paintings will be forever an expression of her creativity and love of art. She was a member of the Klamath Art Association as well as the Two Rivers Gallery in Chiloquin, OR. Paula loved the community of Klamath Falls and was known by many from the years she worked at Al’s Toy House, and then Walmart.
Paula led a life that was dedicated to her faith in Jesus Christ. Being an ordained minister, she participated in and lead many services and bible studies. For the past few years, she was a faithful member of the Calvary Temple of Klamath Falls, where she found great comfort and community.
Paula leaves behind her husband of nearly 56 years, Avery Walborn; her son, Paul Walborn; her daughter, Rachel Walborn Langton; son-in-law, Richard Langton; and grandchildren, Joseph Bazzano, Ashley Walborn, Meghan Walborn, Hannah Kendoll, and Asher Kendoll. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Matilda (Tillie) Astle and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Pauline Astle; her sister, Ellen Louise Crawford; brothers-in-law, William "Reed" Crawford and James (Jim) Hudson; her sister, Inova Hudson; and her brother, Victor Astle, II.
Paula was interred at the Eagle Point National cemetery on October 17, 2024, and a celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Temple of Klamath Falls (2161 Garden Ave) on November 30, 2024, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, a cause that was close to her heart.
Paula is not gone; she has just moved to her new home in Heaven. For a while we will feel lost without her, but we know Jesus walks with us. We will even cry a time or two, but we know Jesus comforts us. And we know through our faith in Jesus Christ, we will see her again soon.
