Robert Anderson Obituary

Born September 26th 1948 to Robert Anderson and Mary Anderson passed away on November
10th succumbing to his battle with Prostate cancer. He is survived by his son Richard Anderson
and wife Heidi Anderson, his daughter Carreen Powless and husband Aaron Powless, wife Sue
Anderson. 7 grandchildren Kiani Anderson, Kameron Anderson, Riley Powless and wife Jordan
Powless, Kira Powless, Tory Macken and husband Nicholas Macken, Andy Powless and Alexis
Powless. Great granddaughter Nora Macken. Sister Cathie Lancaster and Nieces and Nephews
Jolene, Ryan, Chelsea, Myles. Preceded in death by wife Margi Anderson and brother Mike
Anderson.

Growing up in Winton California he had many achievements in track and field along with earning
his Eagle Scout badge. He served in the Forest Service for 28 years spending most of his
summers fighting forest fires around the country. While in the Forest Service he also enjoyed
dressing up as Smokey Bear for different events. Bob also worked for several years at Bi-Mart.
He volunteered as an ambulance driver in Chemult, scout leader, at the county library, he was
also a docent for Amtrak, and volunteered many other places. He was a member of the Hoo
Hoo organization and Kiwanis. Bob also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, travel, and ziplines
wherever he found them. He had many friends who meant a great deal to him and enjoyed their
outings and getting together whenever they could. He loved his family and enjoyed every
opportunity to spend time with them. He loved telling stories about his childhood, living on Guam
and fighting forest fires. He was so excited when his son Richard and Heidi moved to Guam and
he got a chance to go back and visit them. He was a very proud grandfather and so excited to
have made great grandfather status. He was a kind man with a giving heart.

He will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and
friend.
