Robert "Bob" Bales Obituary

Robert “Bob” Eugene Bales was born on December 23, 1941, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Howard and Marie Bales. He was the oldest of four children, with two sisters and a younger brother.

Bob graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1961. From a young age, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring nature. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years, traveling to many unique places around the world.

In 1969, Bob married the love of his life, Jeanie Woodruff. Together they raised two daughters, Starla and Alisha, who became the center of their world. Bob worked for many years as a skilled floor covering installer before he and Jeanie opened Final Touch Interiors in 1988. For 24 years, they enjoyed serving the Klamath community, working side by side with their daughter Alisha, until their retirement in 2012. Bob felt truly blessed to have shared those years in business with his family.

In recent months, Bob lived in St. Helens, Oregon, with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law. He passed away on August 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Starla Denise Bales. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanie Bales; daughter, Alisha; son-in-law, Clifton Truxel, and Tammy Lumbreras; sisters, Sharon Ittner and Debi Moore; brother, Eugene Bales; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including Doug and Leah Fuller, and Rod and Becky Clinton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Refuge City Church, followed by a reception at Yesterday’s Plaza.
