Viola Jean Darrow

Viola Darrow, Age 93, passed away on May 13, 2023 due to Congestive Heart Failure.  She was born on June 8, 1929 in Denver, Colorado to Darrell and Grace Rogers.  She was married to Earl Darrow on July 12, 1947.  She is survived and still deeply loved by her husband of 75 years.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her 4 children Stephen Allen Darrow, Kenneth Wayne Darrow, of Klamath Falls, Jean Ellen Klopsch of Nine Mile Falls, WA, and Allen Earl Darrow.  Her sons Stephen and Allen preceded her in death in 1950 and 2000 respectively.

Viola was a busy homemaker, who served her family well with a sacrificial love.  She was also involved in her church and Christian Women's Club, spending countless hours of service in a variety of capacities.  She loved to cook, to garden, crocheting, entertaining, a good book, collecting pretty things and in her later years she made scores of baby quilts for the Pregnancy Hope Center.  Her children all thought of her as a true Proverbs 31 woman.  She had a deep love for Jesus and her heart's desire was to serve Him.

Viola is survived by her husband Earl, son Kenneth and his wife Jan, daughter Jean, daughter-in-law Lesli, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Viola's life will be held on May 28, 2023 at New Horizon Christian Fellowship beginning at 1:00pm.  In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to New Horizon School.
