Willi Moreno (Williams)
Willi Moreno (Williams) peacefully passed away Thursday January 18, 2024 at Sky Lakes Medical Center following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones. She was 78 years old.
Willi was born January 27, 1945 to Hazel Hecocta and Willard Williams in Klamath County, OR. She was an enrolled Klamath tribal member.
She loved playing bingo, going to Kla-Mo-Ya Casino, traveling to casinos with other tribal members, and visiting with friends and relatives at the tribal meal sites and other special events. Willi always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Crescencio “Chris” Moreno of Klamath Falls, OR; daughter Maria (Jose) Marquez of Klamath Falls, OR; granddaughter Christina Martinez and great-granddaughters Alexa Martinez and Alayna Guerra all of Klamath Falls, OR; daughter Gail Jones of Visalia, CA; and sons Willard Sean (Shenita) Jones and Wiley Jones all of Visalia, CA; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren from California; sister Darlene Melendres and brother Marcus (Laurel) Robinson all of Klamath Falls, OR; numerous nieces and nephews; and several relatives in Warm Springs, OR.
Willi was preceded in death by her mother Hazel Hecocta-Hursey and father Willard Williams; daughter Sharon Jones of Visalia, CA; brothers Robert Chocktoot, Clifford George, Samuel Robinson, Leslie Robinson, Lester Robinson, and Louie Stewart.
A viewing will take place Friday, January 26, 2024; from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Davenports Chapel of the Good Shepherd at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, OR.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 17, 2024; at 1:00 PM at Tayas Yawks (formerly Full Gospel Church), 3206 Onyx Ave, Klamath Falls, OR.
